In Bed In Space

Were we to make our bed in space?

Spread sheets in space?

Cover with blanket in space?

Were we to lay our heads on a pillow?

Lay without gravity.

Sleep without force

Pulling us down to the ground.

To our sheets and our pillows.

Dreams of flight and accent

That can only descend to a bed

Where a creature of gravity sleeps.

Orphaned of softness.

Softness is weight.

Above and below is weight.

Under my head is weight.

Dreams are weight.

Sleep is weight.

Rest is weight.
